How to keep plumbing lines in tact when replacing sinks, toilets, etc.
There are a lot of things that you need to take into consideration when you are doing remodeling. One thing is to make sure that I you are replacing things like sink, toilets, ect. that your plumbing lines stay in tact. If you don't know how to do this here are some tips on how to keep plumbing lines in tact when replacing sinks, toilets, etc.
The first tip is when you are taking either the toilet, sink or what ever else you are doing off that you unplug the plumbing lines so that when you are pulling on the sink or toilet that you don't end up ruining the lines because you pull to hard or if you are having a hard time getting the toilet or sink off you might try turning them which in return might end up twisting the pipes and breaking or bending them. This is why it is important to remember to disconnect the plumbing lines before you use them.
The second tip is to tie lines together with either some kind of tape or brackets to the wall so that they are out of the way. You will also want to make sure that you put either tape or something else like a wad of paper with tape of the opening so that dust and debris will not get down the tubs and cause problems when you go to hook the water lines back up.
The third tip is to make sure that you mark which line is hot water and which line is cold water. The reason why you want to do this is so that when you go to hook back up your sink, toilet or whatever else you are working on that you know which pipe goes to what and won't end up switching them around.
The fourth tip is to make sure that you are very careful when you are installing the new sink, toilet, ect. You will want to make sure that you install the fixture first and then go back and hook in the pipes. The reason why you will want to do this is so that you will want to do this is so that you are not wrestling with the fixture along with the pipes. You will just have to worry about one thing at a time.
The fifth tip is to make sure that you have all of the fittings that you need to connect your plumbing lines to the new fixture. You will want to make sure that when you are taking out the old fixture that you see what fittings were used and then see if there are new fittings or if you can find fittings like the old ones.
