Since the foyer is used for people to come in and out of your house, the flooring is used to a lot of wear and tear. Decide where the ceiling will be and nail in the crossbeams and nail up the drywall. Then you will simply tape the drywall and mud it, once it has dried you can paint it. A nice higher ceiling will add to the new look of your foyer and will give your home a grandiose effect when people walk into it.
