Fiber optics is an exciting new technology that takes advantage of extremely fine (as fine as a human hair) strands of plastic or glass to transport information (or data, or bandwidth). Fiber optic cables are metal tubes with the delicate, fine glass threads bunched in and running through. Fiber optic cables come with many advantages.
