If you have tile, then you will also have to clean the grout every few months. Mold and mildew also tend to get in the cracks. It can warp the wood and make the counter very dirty.

When you buy your countertop for the bathroom, just remember that you want it to last for a long time. You don't want to spend your time and money buying something that will be outdated, look dirty or horrible in 3 years, so invest in something that will last a little longer, or realize that you will have to clean it more often
